Evansville IN, At approximately 1:20 PM today, Vanderburgh County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to I-164 near the 11 mile marker in reference to an injury crash where a semi hauling coal ran off of the roadway.

Evansville IN, Earlier today, deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence call multiple times. On the final occasion, the female involved in the dispute, fled the scene leading deputies and Evansville Police on a brief pursuit. The female hit a sheriff's patrol car and an Evansville police car....she was captured at WalMart and arrested.

Fatal Car Crash

Earlier today, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and Scott Township Fire Department were dispatched to I-164 and State Road 57 at 12:58 AM in reference to a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, a 2012 GMC Terrain was located that had struck the concrete overpass support. Evidence from the scene indicated the vehicle was south bound on I-164 when the driver left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle entered the median and struck a concrete overpass support.

News Release - Burglary Arrest

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested an Evansville man for a burglary to a Pollack Avenue home which occurred in late October. Robert Lee Parker was arrested at the Woodcreek Inn and Suites at 2530 US 41 on a charge of Burglary, a Class B Felony. Parker is currently on parole for charges including Burglary and Theft.

Recognition Ceremony

Theft From Locomotive (VIDEO) - NEWS RELELASE

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft that happened in the early morning hours of October 14th. Evansville Western Railway reported the horns off of two of their locomotives while they were stationary in the 4200 block of Hogue Road. The horns have an approximate value of $750.
