Nurse Manager Rick Miller

Nurse Manager Rick Miller is an Evansville, Indiana native that attended Benjamin Bosse High School. After high school, Nurse Miller served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 1993 – 1997. While in the U.S. Navy, Nurse Miller attended Daytona State College where he earned his Associate's Degree in Nursing. He later received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. In 2007, Nurse Miller was hired as a Staff Nurse within the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office. Currently, Nurse Miller serves as the Nurse Manager and Medical Director of the Vanderburgh County Jail Medical Unit. He is a certified medical trainer and CPR Instructor for the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and a member of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). Nurse Miller enjoys the opportunity to help others and making a difference in health care at the Vanderburgh County Jail. Nurse Miller and his wife, Stephanie, have two sons and a number of pets. His favorite quote comes from President Theodore Roosevelt, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”
