Lieutenant Kenneth Tenbarge

Lieutenant Kenneth Tenbarge was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. He is a graduate of William Henry Harrison High School and attended the University of Southern Indiana where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Psychology. Lt. Tenbarge was hired by the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office in 1992. He has served as a Patrolman in Motor Patrol, a Sergeant in charge of Fleet, Field Training Officer Training and other Administrative duties. He has served as the IDACS Coordinator for the Sheriff’s Office and is a Firearms Instructor. He is currently a Lieutenant, serving as the 2nd Shift Assistant Jail Commander. Lt. Tenbarge is involved with the Greater Evansville Affiliate for the Komen Race for the Cure as the Captain for the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office team and is the vice-president for the Harrison High School Instrumental Music Boosters. Lt. Tenbarge believes that our personnel are what make us special. He believes that we are a diverse, yet unified team of professionals working together to complete our mission. Lt. Tenbarge is a father of two children. His favorite quote is, “Even though you are alive, it doesn’t mean you are living.”
