Dear Applicant:
Thank you for checking our website and for your interest in career opportunities with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office.
Our annual Deputy Sheriff Applicant Process for the 2013 Eligibility Pool is set to begin soon. If you have tested with us before, you will notice several significant changes this year. Here is a brief overview.
First, all of our application forms will be downloadable from our website. This part is currently under development and we hope to have these forms posted on our website some time in May.
Applications will not be due back until July and August. Testing will begin in September, which is also another change.
This year, we have two Saturdays (Sept. 8 and 15) set aside for both the physical agility assessment and the written examination. This part of the testing will take place on the campus of North High School. (the new one located on Hwy 41 N). You will take the assessment in the morning; if you pass, you will take the written exam in the afternoon.
Interviews will take place in November and/or December, and our pool will be finalized by the end of the year. It will then be valid for 2013.
